Monte Pino logo exploration sketches on paper

Decision

Four narrative pillars were isolated from the area's scientific and cultural content: the pine cone of the Pinus Pinaster, the lookout over the sea, Gallura granite shaped by the wind, and the Hermann's tortoise as a symbol of protection. Each one was reduced to its essential geometric code in line art — hexagonal texture for the shell, linear geometry for the cone, parallel vector segments for water and stone — to stay legible and scalable from the favicon to the trail signage, in line with the guidelines for public administration websites.

Outcome

The four codes come together in a quadrant seal that recalls public heraldry in a contemporary key. The system is modular: the logo can live in full as the institutional mark, while each sub-mark works as an independent icon — for website services, trail signage and educational material — supported by a palette sampled from the landscape and calibrated for digital accessibility.
