1. Data controller

2. Data I collect, why and for how long
- Contact form and email. Name, email address, the service you choose and your message. I use them to reply to you and, if we work together, to manage the project. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Retention: 24 months after our last contact; if a contract follows, the periods required by tax law.
- Anti-spam protection. When the form is submitted, a code derived from your IP address (not the address itself) is kept for about one hour to limit the number of messages. Legal basis: legitimate interest in protecting the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Server logs. The hosting provider keeps technical logs (IP address, date, pages requested) for security and operation, for the period it sets.
- Statistics and advertising. Only if you give consent through the cookie banner (see section 6). Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
Giving me your data is voluntary, but without name and email I cannot reply to your message. I do not take automated decisions about you.
3. Who receives the data
- OVH SAS (France): website hosting and email.
- Google Ireland Limited: Google Analytics and Google Ads, only if you consent.
I do not sell your data and I do not share it with anyone else.
4. Transfers outside the EU
If you accept analytics or advertising cookies, Google may transfer data to the United States. Google LLC takes part in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and uses standard contractual clauses. If you refuse, no data is sent to Google.
5. Your rights
You can ask me at any time for access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and you can object to processing or withdraw consent (Arts. 15–22 GDPR). Write to design@valerioromani.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
6. Cookies
Cookies are small files saved in your browser. This site uses three kinds. Technical cookies are always active. Analytics and marketing cookies, and the Google scripts that set them, are loaded only after you accept them in the banner. If you refuse, they are not loaded.

7. Links to other sites
The site links to Adobe, LinkedIn and Instagram. They are separate services with their own privacy policies, and I am not responsible for them.

I may update this page, for example if I add new features to the site. The date at the top shows the latest version.
